ABOUT US
Thank you for visiting Southside Baptist Church online. We are an Independent Fundamental Baptist church located in Effingham, IL. Our church was started in 1974 by Pastor Jim Preston under the name Effingham Baptist Temple. Effingham is a town of 12400 people. It is known as the "Crossroads of Opportunity." Interstates 57 and 70 merge in our town. If you live in Effingham, we would love to have you come and visit with us (see "services" page). If you are just passing through, we would also love to have you come and visit us.
We are an old fashioned church using the King James Bible for the past 33 years. Our worship services are much like they were 33 years ago as well.
